12th Pan-Hellenic Symposium on Oceanography and Fisheries: Blue Growth for the Adriatic-Ionian Macroregion and the Eastern Mediterranean

The 12th Symposium of Oceanography and Fisheries: Blue Growth for the Adriatic-Ionian Macroregion and the Eastern Mediterranean, is co-organized by the Panhellenic Union of Employees of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) and the Union of HCMR Researchers, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science of the Ionian University, under the auspices of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research, Municipality of Corfu and Region of Ionian Islands.

 
The 12th Panhellenic Symposium of Oceanography & Fisheries (12thSymposium) will be held at the premises of the Ionian University, Corfu, from Thursday 31st of May till Sunday 3rd of June 2018. The official opening ceremony of the Symposium will take place on Wednesday 30th of May 2018.
 
The Panhellenic Symposium of Oceanography & Fisheries has become an institution for HCMR, as well as for the scientific community of Greece. By organising the 12th Symposium, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science of the Ionian University, the organisers aim to enhance the collaboration between the academic and research communities of the Balkans, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
 
The symposium also aims to bring together all Research Infrastructures and their relevant community networks and support the development of the dialogue and interface between them. Accordingly, the organisers have devoted two of their primary sessions to:
  • Marine Technology and Blue Energy
  • Research Infrastructures and Projects
